Accessories and Underlay
Underlay is a very important part of any carpet installation. The use of the correct type of underlay will not only prolong the life of the carpet but also gives a soft luxury feeling under foot.
Underlay also helps with sound deadening and heat insulation. In heavy contract installations, or if wheelchairs are in use, a fully bonded system is usually used i.e. a dense crumb rubber underlay is bonded to the sub-floor with a tackifier adhesive and the carpet is then fully adhered to the underlay. This system eliminates rucking and stretching caused by very heavy traffic and wheels.

Duo felt - crumb rubber and felt combined ideal for woven carpets and good heat and sound insulation

Door Bars and metal trim are available in chrome or gold colours.
Stair Rods
A full range of stair rods are available in a variety of colours and finishes for those who do not want stairs fully covered but prefer a stair-runner. Particularly effective for older properties with wider stairs.
